A Multi-Faceted Approach to Literary Analysis

With the support of her mentor L. Bailey McDaniel, Associate Professor of English, English major Grace Weick examined shame in the novel "Middlesex" through the lenses of gender studies, psychology, religious studies, queer theory, and history.

Ms. Weick, who graduated in December 2015, successfully presented her research,  "First One Thing and then the Other," at the May 2016 Meeting of the Minds" conference hosted by the University of Michigan, Flint.
