Women's Rights Organisations at the Universal Periodic Review of Human Rights

With the support of mentor Laura Landolt, Associate Professor of Political Science, Women and Gender Studies' major Bel Behnke conducted a content analysis of human rights' NGO (non-governmental organization) statements to determine the degree to which women's rights NGOs are more or less critical of human rights-abusing states.

We are pleased to announce Bel presented this esearch alongside prominent scholars within the field at the International Studies Association annual convention in Atlanta in March of 2016. Currently, they are collaborating on a chapter for a book-length exploration of human rights.
